The music was a very important part of Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns. This is best exemplified by the soaring trumpet crescendo in the final standoff between Lee Van Cleef, Eli Wallach, and Clint Eastwood.

Opening theme:

Final standoff:

Clint always has some great lines.
"You see there are two kinds of people in this world, my friend.......those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig." :popcorn

I was watching this on TV a few weeks ago. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the movie. Clint Eastwood is the last surviving member of the final showdown in the cemetery.

I am partial to this rendition of it. Forward to 2:50 mark....
