So, I hear an advertisement for a show Friday night (last night), for a guy named Gordie Tentrees, described as Yukon Roots music. $10. I figured what the hell. Grab the wife, head off to San Luis Obispo, and check it out.

Very, very good. He just played at the Olympics, and is on a 52 day, 50 stop tour right now, swinging down from Canada, west coast swing, back north again after the show last night. Very down to earth, personable guy, good tight band, and he came around between his 3 sets and talked to most of the crowd. Think Fred Eaglesmith, Slaid Cleaves, John Prine, Robert Earl Keen.
Best $10 show I've seen in a long time.
