Thelonious Monk: Round Midnight

Someone on SBR felt that Monk was fading. I'll do my part to keep his memory alive by posting one of his most famous numbers. You gotta like a guy whose middle name is "Sphere".

Jazz singers are still recording this song anew. Charlie Rouse does a most impressive job on tenor. As I recall, "Round Midnight" is in the key of A flat (four flats: B, E, A, & D) for a B flat instrument such as the tenor saxophone, which is not easy to play.
