Yes at the Oakland Colosseum in 1977. It was the outdoor Colosseum "day on the green" and it was packed. The line getting in was something I'll never forget, we were waiting for the gates to open and as the people would pushed together you were pressed together like sardines.

Awesome. I saw Peter Frampton Fleetwood Mac Robin Trower Dave Mason Gary Wright at one day on the green...
The folks i went to the concert with are still my friends that i see occasionally.

We were allowed to bring in ice chests, which they only looked at the top layer for content.

Such times we live in.

I remember guys selling all sorts of drugs while waiting in line for the gates to open. Once a guy sitting behind me had a gallon zip lock bag taped to his chest full of whiskey. It was a bit before my time as I was in junior high.

I really enjoyed being a kid in the seventies.

Yes, Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" was indeed inspired by Willie Dixon's "You Need Love," which was famously recorded by Muddy Waters in 1962.

Specifically, the lyrics of "Whole Lotta Love" heavily borrowed from "You Need Love." Robert Plant, Led Zeppelin's vocalist, has acknowledged this influence, stating that he "nicked" the lyrics because they fit well with Jimmy Page's guitar riff. The Small Faces also released a version of the song in 1966, titled "You Need Loving," which reportedly further influenced Plant's vocal phrasing.

Due to the significant lyrical similarities, Willie Dixon filed a lawsuit against Led Zeppelin in 1985. The case was settled out of court, and on all subsequent reissues of Led Zeppelin II, Willie Dixon is now credited as a co-writer of "Whole Lotta Love." While the lyrical connection is undeniable, Jimmy Page has maintained that the musical riff for "Whole Lotta Love" was his original creation and distinct from the Muddy Waters track.
